This song was written immediately following my Grandfather’s passing. Even though he lived a long, very full life, I still wish I had more time with him. There are many things that I always wanted to say to him, but never took the opportunity to share.

The message here is simple: We need to make the most of what time we have together RIGHT NOW. "The past" is, well... in the past. We can't do anything about it. "The future" is ahead of us, so there's no reason to worry about it now, either. "The present" is the time that we have together right now, and if we make the best of it we can make our past relevant and our future promising!
