My memory of this arrangement is probably a little different from everyone else’s. I got married in April of 1995, in the midst of recording sessions for the “Words of Truth” single and the beginning of the new album. We were singing 2-3 weekends a month and it was a very busy and productive time for the group.

While I was gone on my honeymoon, the rest of the group got together and rehearsed without me. In my absence, they began toying around with this song and came up with this really cool arrangement. They recorded what they could on a cassette and shared the recording with me when I got back.
I have always loved this song, and I’m so glad that we were able to do a recording of it. It has such a powerful message about how much love Jesus has for us and how he was willing to sacrifice himself to save us from our sins.
