Paul Evans wrote this song for Ariel’s third album that was never completed. When we were recording “A Special Occasion” at the same studio, we came across the master tapes from that Ariel album and gave them a listen, thinking we might use one of my unfinished tracks for Q. When we found “Holy Hands”, Rob expressed interest wanting to finish it, so (with Paul’s permission) we did. I’ve always liked this song, and I think Rob did a great job on the lead vocal.
