about

This, the opening track to Ariel’s first album, “Lions of God”, was written within about 5 minutes one night after an Ariel rehearsal. When we recorded the “Lions of God” album, we were in kind of a hurry. So much, in fact, that we didn’t notice until after the album was released that the tape somehow got sped up during the mixing. The result was Ariel sounding like a bunch of little kids!

When I began the transferring sessions for "Songs from the Vault", I managed to slow the tracks back down to the speed we recorded them. Now, for the first time, this song can be heard the way it was intended. (By the way, this process was also used on the songs, “Lions of God” and “Divine Inspiration” for the CD.)

As far as the message is concerned, this song has a tremendous meaning for me. Throughout my life, especially over the past few years, I have seen God work miracles when I thought that all was lost. He has lifted me from the grave and placed me on the mountaintop too many times to count. Isn’t it great to know that “all things work together for good for those who love the Lord”? I hope and pray that more people will accept Christ’s healing touch in their lives!

lyrics

In the Bible we read of Christ's healing touch
how he made the lame to walk and cleansed the leper's spots
They just believed on his name, and they gave him the praise
and also from the dead did Christ many raise

Chorus: Healing touch (we need it)
healing touch
my Jesus has that healing touch
Healing touch (Yes!)
healing touch
my Jesus has that healing touch

I was gashed and bleeding by Satan's sword
I was bruised and wounded and without the word
but I just prayed to my Jesus whom I love so much
and he delivered precious healing touch

Chorus

If you are lost and wounded and are living in sin
just obey my Jesus and be cleansed within.
He will answer your prayers if you will only do such
Yes, he'll deliver precious healing touch

Chorus
