Much like “Out of Place”, this song was written during a period of depression. However, I was past the low point and on my way out of it when I put this one together.

It is quite surprising how much people have in common with each other. We all have good times and bad times. We all experience love, happiness, sadness, fear, loneliness, depression, etc. As I said before, it’s so easy for us to cover up the struggles we have and appear like we’ve got it all together. But when we do that, we’re not being totally honest.

The truth is, we ALL struggle. Everybody experiences pain and we ALL have things that we’re not proud of. My goal with this song is to let you know that I am just like you. I have things in my life that I struggle with every day.

I have found that the best thing for me to do during trying times is to let it all out. If we keep our problems bottled up inside of us, eventually those problems will control us and destroy us. By expressing these things to someone, it’s like opening a release valve on our emotions, relieving the pressure that tears us apart.
