about

Ahhh...If I could ever claim any "greatest hits" to my name, this would definitely be one of the top choices. Written and recorded for Ariel's second album, this popular song was our way of recognizing a couple of special people. From the beginning, a young lady named Wendy Blevins was one of Ariel's biggest supporters. She came to most of our concerts, played our tapes for everyone she knew, and always had a smile or an encouraging word for the group. She was truly a blessing from God!

One of my best friends in the Ariel days was another young lady named Angela Doran. Like Wendy, she was always encouraging me in what I was trying to do. Today, she and her husband (The Dillamans) are still close friends and supporters of me as an artist.

Sometimes when we need help from God, he sends people like Angela and Wendy to do his work. I thank God for people who have servant's hearts who just want to see the Lord's work be done. Praise God for Christian friends!

lyrics

You have your own problems to live with
and I also have mine too.
Yet you manage to comfort me
when I am down and blue
I know that being an example is so hard to do
but still you are always there
It's good to know that there is someone around.
Someone who always cares

Chorus: Christian friends (you can always count on them)
Christian friends (they're always there)
Christian friends (they don't give up on you)
Because they always care.

I always manage to lose control
of the sins that pull me down.
But the Lord works through my friends
who help me when satan's around.
With a comforting word and a friendly smile
they always help me out
Building each other up in the Lord,
that's what friends are all about.

Chorus

Bridge: It's never been too hard to be a friend
everybody needs them
to stay 'til the very end.

Chorus
