There is always a song or two on every album that has been around for a few years. Usually when I begin putting together the material for what will eventually become an album, I start with things that I've begun but didn't finish. When I recorded the Frame of Mind album back in 2010-2011, I recorded about 25 songs... I finished 18 of them and put 12 on the final album. One of the outtakes, "Follow Me", was released 2 years later on the A Place to Belong EP, while the others were considered for this album. This song was the one from that bunch that made the cut.

This song is simply an expression of love to someone for how much they have done for me over the years. Take it as a gospel song, if you like, but it can also be a love song to my wife of 22 years (as of this writing). Either way, the sentiment is the same: I wouldn't be where I am in life without her and God.
