about

Frame of Mind is the fourth solo release by independent a cappella artist, Eric Gwin. The album was released in both CD and download formats on April 19, 2011 exclusively from ericgwin.com. In May, 2011, the album was made available at itunes.

Frame of Mind, like all of Eric's other solo releases, is a completely a cappella album, with all of the sounds produced by the voice or some other part of the anatomy. The majority of the album has a very rock-oriented sound, but at times it moves into R&B territory.

Eric spent roughly 3 years in the studio working on this album. He began with around 40 different song ideas and slowly worked his way down to 18 tracks to record, picking 12 for the final album. The album once again finds Eric breaking new ground in the world of a cappella music, but also showing a growing maturity in his songwriting, especially in the area of his lyrics. The songs on Frame of Mind show him getting more personal in his lyrics, covering all aspects of the human condition from depression to love to addiction and beyond.
